Nefeli Fasouli is a singer, songwriter and improviser from Athens, Greece, based in both Athens and New York. Her recent personal album titled “O Cosmos Sou” (aka Your World) was released in 2021 by the major Greek Record Label @UnitedWeFly and since then she has been touring and performing live with her band around Greece, Europe and New York, focusing on Greek Folk and the Jazz idiom. 

 

The past five years she has been performing non-stop with her personal project, or along with her mentor Foivos Delivorias, in a variety venues such us Technopolis Athens (GR), Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center, Greek National Opera, Art Base (BR), Melkweg Amsterdam (NL), Drom (NY) and many others. 

 

Her Studies began at NKUA Athens, where she studied Law as a Bachelor Degree, in parallel with her music studies at the National Greek Conservatory, where she graduated with a vocal diploma, and a vocal teacher diploma, focusing on traditional music from Greece, as well as classics of jazz and soul. She continued with her Master’s at the Music Department of the NKUA, focusing on Jazz Vocals and research on the Jazz Voice. 

 

In 2022 she was awarded with the prestigious Fulbright Artist Grant in order to move to New York for further research on the Jazz Voice. While in New York, she recorded her second album, along with Marius Van den Brink on piano, Russell Hall on Bass, Jason Wastor on Drums and Aidan Mckeon on saxophone. The album is completely composed by Nefeli and is about to be released Autumn 2023. 

 

Other projects has been apart of include The daddyRabbit by Misha Piatygorsky in New York, Mikis Theodorakis Tribute at the Greek National Opera, recordings with the ERT Symphony Orchestra, and many shows focusing on music for children. (Tell me your name by Foivos Delivorias, Strava ki anapoda by Copernicus team, Kitrino Skoufi by Tatiana Zografou and more). She has also shared the stage with Benny Bennack, Petros Klampanis, Dimitri Vassilakis and Dimitris Kalantzis among others.
